Why is it important to be seen as an expert? Experts are valued for their experience and strategic thinking, not just their skills. As a result, experts attract a more dedicated and more discerning clientele. Most importantly, experts can charge more, because they offer more.

So how do you go about branding yourself as an expert? Here are a few ways:


Just call yourself an expert!

Seems simple, right? Nevertheless, many entrepreneurs don’t even take this first, seemingly obvious step. Give yourself a job title that exudes confidence, reliability, experience and expertise.

Are you a baker or a Pastry Consultant? Are you a personal trainer or a Life Strategist? Are you an event coordinator or a Wedding Advisor?

But don’t just talk the talk… remember, you also have to walk the walk!

 

Pay attention to your personal brand

The way you dress, your use of language and the way you present yourself in publicall have impact on your personal brand. Be aware of how you come across and make sure to differentiate yourself: you are a Queen Bee, not a Worker Bee!

 

Put out killer content

Experts have advice to share. Publish a blog, maintain a powerful social media presence, produce a podcast, create an e-book, do whatever it takes to share your knowledge and attract the expert-hungry clients you want.
